The Room

 I entered the room
 Uninvited and alone
 I entered with courage
 Strong will and alone

 I entered with confidence
 That can build a mountain
 I entered the room alone

 I entered with the love
 Of a mother
 I entered the room
 Alone

 I stand in the room
 Excited and nervous
I stand alone in that room

 I fell to my knees
 While closing my eyes
 Grabbing my heart
 And ignoring all the lies
 I entered the room alone

 I have fallen once more
 In this room alone
 I had a feeling I would

 I know I’ll never return
 To that room
 Alone

I have been writing poetry since a teenager but did not have the courage to really show it off. It wasn't until I had some tools as I battled depression and mental illness. They are still a part of me, which you will see for yourself. My writing is dark and raw.
